The philosophy of CBC Co., Ltd., passed down since our founding in 1925, is to grow with passion and “ultimate efforts,” while providing a platform where our people, who are our greatest asset, can realize their dreams through the Shosha spirit, a spirit of challenge, and the joy of creating from zero. This is the foundation of CBC Value.
We take pride in our history, built over generations, and move forward with gratitude, speed, and a venture spirit. We aim to be a company that conveys to everyone a sense of dynamism and passion, as well as “value” that has yet to be seen and “value” that is newly created through our business.
As a development-type creative Shosha, combining trading and manufacturing, we expanded into new fields beginning with the acquisition of an optical business in 1981. Today, our manufacturing business is as strong as our trading arm, spanning chemicals, electronic materials, automotive, environment, IT, robotics, and especially fast-growing pharmaceutical and bio-related fields. Since opening our Shanghai branch in 1936, we have also accelerated our global growth, now operating 60 bases in 20 countries.

CBC Corporation (India) Pvt. Ltd. is the Indian subsidiary of CBC Co., Ltd. Japan, a company that completed 100 years of global operations in 2025. Incorporated in April 2008 with operations across India, we are a multi-division specialty trading and solutions enterprise, part of a network spanning 46 locations across five continents. CBC in India has 6 investments as well as runs an R&D Centre besides being present across the value chain of Pharmaceuticals (Excipients, Intermediates, APIs, Formulations), Agrochemicals, Electroplating Chemicals, seeds for Lab Grown Diamonds, Batteries and Security Cameras/Lenses.

We are here to empower Indian enterprises to compete globally with world-class products and technical expertise, whilst offering international partners operational platforms built on trust and demonstrated excellence. Our model is built on two complementary flows: we import world-class products into India for principals who require a trusted operational partner on the ground, whilst exporting India-manufactured products globally besides toll manufacturing and custom development. We act as a culture integrator — bridging the institutional standards of a century-old Japanese principal with the agility, talent and manufacturing capability that India offers. This position has been built deliberately over 17+ years, anchored in technical rigour, compliance and supplier base of over 2,000 Indian pharmaceutical and chemical companies.
Our strategic direction is defined by the MPIE Vision — Manufacturing in India, Pan-India Presence, Investments in India and Exports from India. The areas of focus have been identified with clarity, grounded in the strengths of Indian manufacturing, the depth of scientific research talent available here, rising consumer affluence and the growing demand for quality products across domestic and international markets.
